CLIENT SPOTLIGHT

Web-Based DIY Furthers The Property Manager’s Competitive Edge

The Right Software Builds the Right Reputation

In today’s competitive property management and real estate market, you need every edge you can get. For The Property Manager of Tulsa/Broken Arrow Oklahoma, using DIY as their business system further sharpens their reputation for innovative thinking and gives them that edge that is so crucial today.

Innovative Leaders

Celebrating 25 years in business, The Property Manager lives by the philosophy of matching residents carefully with their owners and properties. Backing that up is a reputation for problem solving and superior service, which has helped build the largest property management company in Oklahoma’s Broken Arrow.

To further that reputation, The Property Manager looked to replace their installed software with a Web-based solution earlier this year. Explains Kristin Harding: “We wanted to take an innovative lead in the market place. Our owners were looking for us to offer a Web-based solution and we wanted to be responsive.

“Having a Web-based system shows that you are in tune with the market while providing your owners with the instant access to information they’ve come to expect,” says Harding.

Satisfying Owners

The Property Manager began using DIY only a few months ago, but already their owners are pleased with the results, she says. “Our clients like the new, more concise owner statements. And they are excited to hear about our plans to roll out an owner portal. We are preparing for that now. With DIY’s owner portal, our owners will be able to login in and see the information that is most important to them.” Rollout of the resident portal will follow, says Harding.

Two-Click Design

The DIY system is designed from the ground up for our industry, continues Harding, who adds “DIY says whatever you need is only two clicks away, and that really is how they designed it. It’s very true.

“This is making a world of difference for us. After 15 years on another system, we are now finding our work processes are completed more and more quickly thanks to this two-click design,” she says.

‘Team Awesome’

“There are other things we liked about DIY, such as integration to QuickBooks and the clean user interface, but in the end I believe one of their strongest assets is their friendly, competent support.

“I call them ‘Team Awesome’ because that is what they are,” relates Harding. “During the transition, their help and responsiveness alleviated any frustration I might have had. They have been great to work with and they deliver what they promise.”
